Terms of Use
Last updated: 2 September 2026
These terms cover the DiffiCat desktop app and the browser version at app.difficat.com. By using either, you accept them.
License
DiffiCat is free for personal use. Commercial use requires a commercial license. The software is proprietary; you may not redistribute, resell, or reverse-engineer it.
Acceptable use
- Compare and capture only sites you are permitted to access. You are responsible for having the right to fetch the pages you point DiffiCat at.
- Do not use DiffiCat to overload, probe, or attack a site, or to circumvent access controls beyond supplying credentials you legitimately hold.
- Do not attempt to bypass the browser version's usage limits (comparison runs and page discoveries per hour, and the daily page budget) or its restrictions on localhost and private-network addresses.
The browser version
The browser version is provided on shared infrastructure with per-user usage limits, and may be changed, rate-limited, or withdrawn at any time. Reports and screenshots it stores are kept as a convenience, not as an archive — do not treat it as your only copy of anything.
No warranty
DiffiCat is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. A passing comparison is evidence, not a guarantee: you remain responsible for verifying your own migration. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DiffiCat's operators are not liable for any damages arising from use of the software or the service.
Privacy
What DiffiCat collects and stores is described in the privacy policy.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date.
