Terms of Use

These terms cover the DiffiCat web app at app.difficat.com, and the paid Agent API (REST at app.difficat.com/api/v1 and MCP at app.difficat.com/mcp). By using any of them, you accept these terms.

License

DiffiCat is free for personal use. Commercial use requires a commercial license. The software is proprietary; you may not redistribute, resell, or reverse-engineer it.

Acceptable use

• Compare and capture only sites you are permitted to access. You are responsible for having the right to fetch the pages you point DiffiCat at.
• Do not use DiffiCat to overload, probe, or attack a site, or to circumvent access controls beyond supplying credentials you legitimately hold.
• Do not attempt to bypass the browser version's usage limits (comparison runs and page discoveries per hour, and the daily page budget) or its restrictions on localhost and private-network addresses.

The browser version

The browser version is provided on shared infrastructure with per-user usage limits, and may be changed, rate-limited, or withdrawn at any time. Reports and screenshots it stores are kept as a convenience, not as an archive — do not treat it as your only copy of anything.

Pro subscription

Pro is the licence for commercial use of the browser version. It is billed in advance by Stripe, monthly or yearly, at the price shown at checkout plus applicable tax. Pro includes 5,000 captured pages a month, shared by the browser version and the Agent API; captured pages beyond that are billed at $0.01 each on the next monthly invoice, up to the cap set on the account page (default $50). You may switch between the monthly and the yearly plan on the account page; the switch is charged or credited pro rata at once, and a credit is applied to the following invoices and not refunded. You cancel through the billing portal, and the subscription ends at the close of the paid period. The unused part of a monthly or yearly period is not refunded, including when the account is deleted.

Agent API

• API calls are priced per call, as the OpenAPI document and the payment challenge for each call state.
• A settled charge or prepaid debit is final. It is not refunded or reduced when you cancel a job, when a job fails, or when a job returns partial results.
• Prepaid balances, including those topped up in the browser version, do not expire and are not refundable on request. A balance lapses with a deleted account.
• You are responsible for your own spend limits. To bound them, a job request accepts maxPriceUsd (a job priced above it is refused before any charge), maxPages (a ceiling on the pages compared and charged for) and dryRun (the exact price, with nothing charged).
• The “No warranty” section below applies to API results.

No warranty

DiffiCat is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. A passing comparison is evidence, not a guarantee: you remain responsible for verifying your own migration. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DiffiCat's operators are not liable for any damages arising from use of the software or the service.

What DiffiCat collects and stores is described in the privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date.
